Description

At our November meeting we will have a lecture/presentation from Tom Spittler. Many of you may know him as your go to man for getting your spinning wheel repaired. He lives in Sebastopol and has been repairing spinning wheels for at least twenty five years. His first commission was for a skateboard when he was 10. He later helped support himself through college as a potter. After graduate school he worked on restoring his home and making furniture for it while his day job was Senior Supervising Engineering Geologist for the California Geological Survey. Tom started with making drop spindles for spinners at the Black Point Renaissance Faire in the early 1990s and has since turned about 10,000 more.
