Myra Beebee – February 2026

For nearly two decades, Myra Beebee has been creating dyes from mushrooms. She offers tutorials on YouTube and Patreon to show that natural dyeing is something anyone can try. Together with her brother Martin Beebee, she made a short documentary called “Try It and See,” highlighting their mother Dororthy Beebee—illustrator of the first mushroom dye book, “Let’s Try Mushrooms for Color” by Miriam Rice. When she isn’t dyeing, she is knitting. Myra currently resides in Sonoma County.
