Silverado Spinsters Sheep-to-Shawl

A feisty group of fiber friends from Napa to Sacramento who follow the philosophy of ‘Work Hard, Have Fun’. The Spinsters started as a pickup group at a Stitches event when Barbara Stafford ran into some spinning friends and proposed they make a team to enter the upcoming CNCH 2003 1st National Sheep to Shawl contest. The gatherings to design and plan a contests’ shawl is an opportunity to do what we love and push the boundaries of what you can do with 6 team members, 2 pounds of wool, and 4 hours with a 4-harness loom. We like to say – Have loom, Will travel!
